Lawrence W. Scott

Lawrence W. Scott, a devoted family man, passed away peacefully on September 13, 2025, surrounded by his loved ones in Washington, PA. Born on December 2, 1931, in Washington, PA.

After graduating from Avella High School, Lawrence joined the United States Army and was honorably discharged he then dedicated over 30 years of his life working as a pipe fitter at Jessop Steel Company. His unwavering commitment to his work was matched only by his devotion to his family. He was known for putting his family first, always making time for those he loved and creating lasting memories that will forever be cherished.

In his personal life, Lawrence enjoyed the great outdoors, finding joy in hunting. He shared many wonderful adventures with his late wife, Marilyn, traveling to beautiful destinations such as Hawaii and Alaska. 

Lawrence held a special place in his heart for his beloved dog, Gypsy, who brought him immeasurable companionship and joy during their time together.   

He leaves behind a loving family that includes his sons, Richard (Debra) Scott and Lawrence W. Scott Jr.; his daughter, Rebecca (Robert) Waters; grandchildren Robert Waters, Daniel, Jonah, Samara Scott; and great-grandchildren Eliana, Caden, Beckett Waters. His sister, Caroline Scott Moore, will also hold onto the treasured memories shared with him.

Lawrence is predeceased by his brothers, George Howard Scott and Donald Francis Scott, and his sister, Katherine Avolia. The void left by Lawrence's passing will be deeply felt by all who knew him.
