Washington

It is with deep love and profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, and sister. Linda Horner Phillips, age 77, a woman of unwavering strength, deep faith, and boundless love for her family, passed away on July 5th.

She loved life’s sweet moments and greeted every family celebration with enthusiasm. She cherished every moment spent surrounded by her loved ones, anchoring her family with a quiet, steady love. She was a hard worker and held long term positions as a retail and inventory associate. A woman of remarkable resilience, she faced life's adversities with exceptional grace and a strong spirit. She never complained about the hardships she endured, choosing instead to focus on her blessings and remaining genuinely grateful for everything she had. She was the perfect role model for hard work, financial wisdom, and quiet, humble happiness. She had a lifelong passion for reading. Her faith was central to her life, and she was a member of Friendship Community Church.

She possessed a joyful heart and a delightful love for celebrations, firmly believing that any occasion was made better with a slice of cake.

Linda is now reunited in heaven with her beloved husband, Joseph "Earl" Phillips, with whom she shared over 52 years of a beautiful marriage before his passing four years ago. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Nathan and Flora Horner; her brother, James Horner; and her sister, Beverly Brown.

Her legacy of love and resilience lives on through her family. She is survived by her daughter Marcie and husband John Efaw, her daughter Jodi and husband Kirk Benoit and her son Earl Phillips, her brother Richard Horner, her grandchildren, and a beloved niece, Mindy Hartzog, all of whom she adored beyond measure.
