Lindsay Michelle Mankey

Apr 1, 1988 — Oct 19, 2026

Lindsay Michelle Mankey, of Claysville, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully at home on October 19, 2026, in Washington, Pennsylvania. She was born on April 1, 1988, in Washington.

Lindsay will be remembered for the joy she brought to those around her and for the warmth of her bright, loving spirit. A graduate of Intermediate I and the McGuffey School District, she was attending Pathways for Independent goal-oriented curriculum, a place she loved deeply. At Pathways, they called her “Princess,” a nickname that reflected the affection so many had for her.

She was a social butterfly who was always smiling, and she had a remarkable memory that left an impression on everyone who knew her.  She loved attending the 1st Lutheran Church in Washington.   Lindsay loved her family dearly and treasured the time she spent with them. She enjoyed shopping, movies, and family picnics, finding happiness in life’s simple and meaningful moments. Her laughter was unforgettable; she laughed throughout the entire movie Roger Rabbit, and she especially loved the theme song from Gilmore Girls. Those memories remain a tender reminder of her delight in the world around her. Lindsay also did not like goodbyes, which makes her parting all the more difficult for those who loved her.

She is survived by her father and mother, Keith and Kristine (Lindvig) Briggs; her sister, Jessica Wright and her brother-in-law, Clayton Wright; her nephew, Cameron Muise; her niece, Marley Muise; her grandfather, Thomas Tweden; and a loving circle of aunts and uncles, including Bill and Jody Lindvig, Andrea and Chris Dick, Jim and Lisa Briggs, and Denise and Jim Schnieder and Bonus Aunt Stacy Carroll.

She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Nancy Tweden; her grandparents, Ray and Mary Briggs; her aunt, Debbie Kirkland; and her great-uncle Jim and great-aunt, Louise Reed.

Lindsay’s life was filled with love, connection, and joyful moments that will not be forgotten. She leaves behind a lasting memory of happiness.  She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered always.
