Lois Ann Bentz Gazvoda, 87, of Canonsburg, passed away peacefully Monday, June 2, 2025, in West Virginia, with her granddaughters and daughter-in-law by her side.
She was born on October 16, 1937, in Washington, a daughter of the late Andrew Bentz and Elizabeth Bentz Kanish.
Lois was a homemaker, who enjoyed playing Bingo and watching NCIS. She loved Klondike bars and ice cream.
She was a member of the McDonald-Cecil Senior Community Center and was a part of the Hilltoppers.
On June 23, 1956, she married Joseph Michael Gazvoda, who passed away March 20, 2006.
Surviving are a son, Bob Gazvoda; a daughter, Patti Lyn (Michael) Gray; four grandchildren, Theresa Simons, Shannon Gazvoda (Brian Tohey), Julie Gazvoda and Kelsey Gray; seven great-grandchildren, Ellie, Abby, Marley, Kennedy, Wyatt, Julien Joseph and Sophira; a daughter-in-law, Janet Gazvoda; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Deceased, in addition to her husband and parents, are a son, Joseph A. Gazvoda; a grandson, Joseph C. Gazvoda; a stepfather, Paul Kanis; and six siblings, Al, Bob, Martha, Agnes, Margie and Betty.
Family and friends will be received from 1 to 3 p.m., the hour of service, Monday, June 9, 2025, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington.
