Marcia Kay Parkman, 57, of Washington, died Friday, October 12, 2018, at the Donnell House. She was born November 3, 1960, in Washington, the daughter of Milton L. Moye Sr. of Smyrna, Mississippi and the late Patricia Ann Williamson Moye. Marcia was a 1978 graduate of Washington High School and a homemaker. She was Baptist by faith. Marcia enjoyed spending time with family, shopping on QVC. She had a love of purses and loved reading and music, especially Prince. She was a founding member of the Loud Crowd. In September of 1987, she married Charles Henry Parkman, who survives. Also surviving are a son, Patrick Parkman of Washington; three brothers, Milton L. Moye Jr., Michael J. Moye and Martin A. Moye all of Washington; four sisters, Michele Lipscomb, Melinda Jones, Martine T. Moye all of Washington and Milea D. Moye of Chicago; a grandchild, Ny’Anah Moye-Parkman; several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. Preceded in death is a daughter, Taylor M. Parkman and a brother, Marvin S. Moye. A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, October 20, 2018 at William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington with Pastor Debra Mason officiating.
