Margaret (Daniels) Johnston

Washington PA

Margaret (Daniels) Johnston, a loving and devoted soul whose life was a testament to kindness and care, passed away peacefully on April 7, 2026, in her beloved home in Washington, Pennsylvania. Born on December 24, 1927, in Washington to the late Ross and Isa (Kinnan) Bebout.  Margaret's journey through life was marked by unwavering dedication to her family, her community, and those in need.

A proud graduate of Washington High School, Margaret found her true calling working for many years as a Nurses Aide at the Washington County Health Center. Her compassion shone brightly in this role, where she felt deeply fulfilled by making everyone's life more comfortable before they passed away—a quiet, profound gift she offered with grace.

Margaret was a woman of extraordinary warmth and generosity. Known for her loving, caring, and welcoming nature, she opened her heart to all who knew her. Family was her greatest pride and joy. She celebrated her special bond with her dear twin sister, Garlene, cherishing their shared birthdays throughout the years. Though Garlene and many of her siblings have passed on, including her cherished husband Leroy Daniels, whom she married on September 2, 1948, Margaret’s legacy of love lives on through her children and their families.

Her surviving children Joseph (Lynn) Daniels, Elliece (late Edward) McAdams, Kevin (Diane) Daniels, and Lory (Charles) Hurst stood by her side in her final moments, a testament to the close-knit family she nurtured. Margaret’s warmth extended beyond her children to her grandchildren—Stacey, Joey, Torrie, Tina Ray, Erik, Christina, Josh, Daniel, Amy, Andy, 12 precious great-grandchildren and her dear loving sister, Lorelie (late John) Brandt. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Margaret found joy in simpler pleasures that brought calm and comfort—bowling, assembling puzzles, and watching Cornerstone Television. These were moments of quiet happiness that reflected her gentle soul and her appreciation for life’s tender gifts.

Friends and family are invited to the William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd.,  925 Allison Avenue, Washington PA on April 16, 2026, from 2PM to 4PM and 6PM to 8PM.  A funeral service will take place on April 17, 2026, at 12:30PM in the funeral home.  Burial to follow at Washington Cemetery.
