Marion Gill

We lovingly say farewell to Marion E. O’Donnell Gill, 83, of Washington, who passed away on Monday, April 13, 2026, at her home.  She was born on December 22, 1942, in Pittsburgh, the daughter of the late Lawrence and Mary (McCartney) O’Donnell.

After graduating from High School, On November 28, 1964, Marion married Roger Duane Gill and they enjoyed 60 years of marriage until his passing on December 3, 2024.

She and Roger were active members of Immaculate Conception Church, St. James Parish, where Roger was a Eucharistic Minister. They both loved photography and loved to travel with the camera club and Church for various photo shoots.

Marion had a sweet, quiet personality and she also enjoyed gardening, reading and watching old movies.

She is survived by their children, Mary (Johnny) Morris of Edgewater, Florida, Michael (Tammy) Gill of Washington and Nora Beth Gill of Washington; grandchildren, Dylan (Leah Schrimpf) Holmes of Providence, Rhode Island, Carly (James Evans) Holmes of Washington, Michael Gill Jr. of Washington, Adam Gill of Washington and David Gill of Washington; great-grandchild, James Evans; her brothers Leo (Kathy) O’Donnell and Robert (Grace) O’Donnell; and sister-in-law Beverly (the late John) Garwood of Roseville, California
