Mark Casto, born on August 25, 1967, in Washington, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on January 20, 2026, in his hometown. His journey through life was marked by a deep love for family and a commitment to his chosen career as a long-distance truck driver.
A proud graduate of Canon-McMillan High School, Mark took his first step into the workforce at the age of 17. This milestone was not merely about earning money; it was a testament to his character. He cherished the moment he was able to gift his mother, Nancy (Herschell) Casto, a necklace that proudly declared “Mom,” encapsulating the bond they shared.
Mark's personality was characterized by a quiet strength and an unwavering love for his family, particularly spending precious moments with his mother and father, Donald W. Casto, who predeceased him. The loss of his father profoundly affected Mark, but he carried the lessons and love imparted by Donald throughout his life.
Beyond his professional life, Mark found joy in watching the Pittsburgh Steelers, a passion that connected him with many friends and family.
Mark is survived by his beloved mother, Nancy; his sister, Cindy (Darrell) Cummings; his sons, Marcus and Matthew Casto; and his cherished nieces, Alexis, Skylar, Savannah, and Sydney. He leaves behind a legacy of love, dedication, and memories that will be fondly treasured by all who knew him. Mark Casto will be remembered not only for his work ethic but also for his profound love for his family and friends.
Mark will be laid to rest at Washington Cemetery privately. All arrangements are entrusted to the care of the William G. Neal Funeral Home 925 Allison Ave. Washington PA
