Marlyn L. Phillips

Marlyn L. Phillips, 72 of Claysville, went to be with the Lord on Friday, February 22, 2019 at the Donnell House. She was born September 10, 1946, in Washington, the daughter of the late Earnest Boyd Allen and Sarah Elizabeth Simpson Allen. Marlyn was the manager of the cafeteria at McGuffey Intermediate School, retiring in 2016. She enjoyed camping, spending time with family and loved going to yard sales, flea markets and shopping. On June 26, 1961, she married Kenneth Laverne Phillips, who passed away, June 26, 2008. Surviving are her six children, Lavonne (Frank) Snodgrass of Washington, Kenny (Becky) Phillips of Washington, Annette (Frank) Jones of Claysville, Lucia (Joe) Denner of Canonsburg, Jeff (Wendy) Phillips of Linesville and Tom (Vicki) Phillips of Washington; three brothers, three sisters; 21 grandchildren, Mitch Phillips, Rachel Heather, Jennifer Campbell, Kristin Shrader, Ken “Andy” Phillips, Joe Phillips, Jenny Jones, Amanda Bedillion, Nicole O’Brien, Frank Jones Jr., Andrew Matrogran, Jessica Matrogran, Zachary Denner, Tyler Denner, Brittani Crabb, Austin Phillips, Cheyenne Phillips, Hunter Phillips, Sydney Phillips, Anthony Phillips and Cassidy Phillips; 23 great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews and her dog, (Chihuahua) “Cheech”. Six siblings and her beloved dog, Rocky preceded her in death. Friends will be received Tuesday, February 26, 2019 from 1 to 3 and 5 to 7 p.m. at William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Ave, Washington, where services will be held Wednesday, February 27, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Joe DiDonato officiating. Burial will follow at Fairmount Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the American Cancer Society, 331 S. Main St. Washington, PA 15301
