Martha Elaine Manning

Martha Elaine Manning, 90, of Washington, passed away Monday, May 19, 2025, in UPMC Washington.

She was born on December 27, 1934, in Washington, a daughter of the late Henry Clayton Wright and Martha Elizabeth Burwell Wright.

Elaine was a 1952 graduate of Washington High School.

She was employed by Pennsylvania Transformer as a cost accountant.

Elaine was an active member of Jefferson Avenue United Methodist Church, where she was the financial secretary and held several other positions on the church’s boards and committees. She also sang in the junior and senior choir.

She was a lifetime member of Beta Sigma Phi and enjoyed volunteering and playing Sudoku.

On December 6, 1957, she married Larry Manning, who survives.

Also surviving is a daughter, M. Elyse (William) Manning Ferry.

Deceased are an infant and a brother, Robert C. Wright.

Family and friends will be received from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., the hour of service, Thursday, May 22, 2025, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington. Interment will be held in Washington Cemetery.
