Martine Teresa Moye

Martine Teresa, “Ginger” and “Gigi” Moye, 59, of Washington, passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday, June 12, 2025, surrounded by her close family.

She was born January 13, 1966, a daughter of Miltion L. Moye, Sr. and the late Patricia A. Williamson Moye.

Martine was a 1984 graduate of Washington High School.

She went on to pursue a career in healthcare caring for others for over 30 years as a Certified Nursing Assistant at Transitions Healthcare, formerly Humbert Lane, in Washington.

Ginger was a fighter in every sense of the word. She always enjoyed chilling with her family, a nice glass of wine, and spending time with her grandchildren.

Martine is survived by a son, Ryan Patrick Moye; a daughter, Ta’Quana Sharea Moye; siblings Michele L. Lipscomb, Melinda A. Jones, Milton L. Moye Jr., Michael J. Moye, Milea D. Moye and Martin A. Moye; grandchildren Travon J. Moye, Ariah R. Moye, and Braelynn N. Taylor; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her mother, she is predeceased by a sister, Marcia K. Parkman; brothers Marvin S. Moye and Troy R. Naylor; and a niece, Taylor M. Parkman.
