Mary Anne Jankowiak

Mary Anne (Torcasi) Jankowiak, of Washington, PA, passed away on August 16, 2026.

Born December 26, 1952, in Pittsburgh, Mary Anne was the daughter of the late James and Mary Adele Torcasi. She graduated from Bishop Canevin High School in 1970 and went on to earn a bachelor’s degree in social work from California University of Pennsylvania.

During her life she loved all forms of creativity such as knitting, crochet, sewing, stained glass, pottery, and baking. She was a stay at home mom that was always busy taking care of her home and family. She wasn’t afraid to get her hands dirty with gardening and yard work, and loved animals, as well.

Mary Anne was preceded in death by her partner, Mary Heaton.

She is survived by her daughter, Michelle Jankowiak (Andy Klements), and her son, Chris Jankowiak (Kristi); her grandchildren, Jacob, Lucas, Dawson, and Adele; her brothers, Jim Torcasi (Colleen) and Louie Torcasi (Patti); along with many nieces and nephews.

Mary Anne will be deeply missed by her family and all who knew and loved her.

Friends and family are invited to attend a visitation for Mary Anne on Thursday, August 20th from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the William G. Neal Funeral Home Ltd. 925 Allison Ave. Washington, PA 15301. A funeral service will take place on Friday, August 21st at 1:00 PM, with burial at Washington Cemetery immediately following.
