Nancy Marie Pryor

Nancy Marie Beck Pryor, 82, of Washington, passed away Monday, June 2, 2025, in Celebration Villa of Lakemont Farms in Bridgeville.

She was born, January 18, 1943, in Apollo, Armstrong County, a daughter of the late Nathan Arthur Beck and Edith Campbell Beck.

On August 29, 1964, she married her husband, Paul R. Pryor Sr., her husband of 60 years, who survives.

Nancy was a 1960 graduate of Apollo High School.

She was Lutheran in faith.

Nancy loved going to their family cabins in Cameron County, first in Sinnemahoning, then in Driftwood, camping and visiting various casinos, especially Las Vegas, Nevada, with family and friends. She was a gentle, kind, and loving woman. She was a lovely homemaker and devoted her life to the care and comfort of her family. She particularly loved to keep a clean home. Nancy was also fond of Boxer dogs.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her sons, Paul “Doc” R. Pryor, Jr. (Stacy) and Peter Ryan Pryor (Brenda); grandson Jacob Ryan Pryor, her pride and joy and Nanny’s favorite hockey player, #23; and many nieces and nephews.

Nancy is predeceased by her five siblings, James, Kenneth, Donald, Betty, and Shirley.

The family wishes to thank Gateway Hospice for their compassion and excellent care of Nancy, especially Todd, Tina, Heather, Miley, and Pastor Jim and Pastor Jude.

Friends and family will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, June 5, 2025, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, June 6, 2025, officiating by the Rev. Jude Urso. Interment will follow at Washington Cemetery.
