Olga “Ange” Latek, 97, of Washington, died on Thursday, January 24, 2019, in the Donnell House. She was born on July 25, 1921, in Washington, a daughter of the late Joseph and Katherine Sterk Hennick. Mrs. Latek was retired from Tygart Valley Glass Company`, where she had worked as an inspector and packer. She was a member of St. Hilary Roman Catholic Church. Ange enjoyed cooking, working in her flower garden and creating beautiful, ornate, handmade Christmas stockings. On December 25, 1941, she married Walter P. Latek, who died on February 14, 1985. Surviving are a daughter, Patricia (Joseph) Kerchinsky; a brother, Harry Hennick; a sister, Margaret Prall; three grandchildren, Kathleen (Keith) McBee, Joseph E. (Monica) Kerchinsky and Amy Treanor; and seven great grandchildren, Ethan and Kyle McBee, Lilly Kerchinsky, Joseph B. Kerchinsky, and Lincoln, Zachary and Samuel Treanor. Deceased are eleven siblings, Katie, Mary, Josephine, Joe, Anna, Frank, George, Elizabeth, Christina, John and Virginia. Services and burial in Immaculate Conception Cemetery will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
