Patricia J. Huffman

Patricia J. “Patty” Huffman, 85 of Washington, died Sunday, November 11, 2018 at Presbyterian Senior Care. She was born October 7, 1933 in Waynesburg, the daughter of the late Joseph and Nell Dunn Huffman. Patty was a member of Jefferson Avenue United Methodist Church and a 1952 graduate of Washington High School. She worked in accounting at the Hazel Atlas, Continental Can and Brockway Glass Plants for 29 years, till the closing of Plant 7 in 1984. She then worked as a bookkeeper for the Salvation Army for 6 years and the YWCA for 15 years, retiring on September 29, 2000. Patty was a life time member of the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority. She enjoyed reading and watching television. Surviving are several nieces and nephews. Deceased are 3 sisters, JoAnn Musto, McClese Ermacoff and Betty Ramsey; three brothers, Dick Huffman, Joseph Huffman Jr. and an infant brother, who died at birth. Friends will be received Wednesday, November 14, 2018 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Ave, Washington, where services will be held Thursday, November 15, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Gary Whipkey officiating. Burial will follow at Washington Cemetery.
