Peter Mansmann

A lawyer by trade but farmer at heart. A teller of tall tales. A world champion breaker of tractors. A connoisseur of poison ivy, oak and sumac. A raider of refrigerators. A real life Santa Claus. But most importantly a husband, dad, pap-pap and beloved family member and friend to many. Peter J. Mansmann passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on May 9, 2026 at the age of 89 years young.

He lived a life full of adventure, compassion, laughter and faith and will be missed by all who crossed paths with him. He follows his son Michael who passed before him and is survived by his wife Sandra, 7 children (Denise, Michele, Kris, Peter, Monica, Theresa and Liz) and his 24 grandchildren.

Friends are invited to the William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., from 2PM to 8PM on Tuesday May 12, 2026. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at Immaculate Conception Church on May 13, 2026 at 10AM. Burial with military honors will be accorded by the Edwin Scott Linton American Legion Post 175 at Queen of Heaven Cemetery. 

A celebration of life will be held in early August with date and location TBD. In lieu of flowers, the family would request you hug a loved one and consider making a donation to Mending Hope Acres with instructions for donations available through lizgilson81@gmail.com.
