Randy L. Wagers, 64, of Washington, died on Wednesday, July 18, 2018, in the Concordia Hospice. He was born on October 13, 1953, in Beaufort Naval Hospital, SC., a son of Lee and Audrey Guthrie Wagers, of Washington. He was a 1971 graduate of Trinity High School, attended Penn State Altoona, graduated from Triangle Tech, and achieved his USWA Journeyman certification. Mr. Wagers was a hard worker, who worked at Jessop Steel, Washington Steel, ATI, and many other locations, to provide for his family. In 2017, he retired from Jessop Steel to care for his beloved wife, Debra Lynn Wagers, who was bravely battling cancer. A life member of the Arms Club, he was also a member of the Edwin Scott Linton Post 175 of the American Legion and the Loyal Order of the Moose. Randy loved spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren, going to car cruises, shooting his multiple guns, and vacationing with family and friends. On December 9, 1975, he married his wife, Debra Lynne Wagers, who died on June 24, 2017. They had been married 42 years. Surviving, in addition to his parents, are two sons, Randy (Beth) Wagers, Jr., and Steven (Amy) Wagers; a stepdaughter, Michelle (Kevin) MacKinney; two brothers, Lee (Bonnie) Wagers and Kevin (Monica) Wagers; a sister, Jill (Bill) Craig; seven grandchildren, Myranda and Kourtney White, Max, Mara and Addison Wagers, Kevin MacKinney, and Grayson Wallace; and many cousins and nephews. Friends will be received on Friday, July 20, 2018, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., in the William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Ave., Washington, PA, where services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, July 21, 2018, with Rev. Donna Christopher officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Concordia Hospice, 10 Leet St., Washington, PA 15301.
