Rebecca Lynn Griffith, a beloved daughter, mother, grandmother, sister, and partner, passed away peacefully on November 30, 2025, in Pittsburgh, PA. Born on January 30, 1955, in Washington, PA. Rebecca left a mark on everyone she encountered, weaving kindness, humor, and warmth into the fabric of her life.
Becky devoted much of her career to serving the community through her work with the City of Washington parking authority. Her dedication and commitment were evident in her professionalism and care for others. A graduate of Immaculate Conception School, she cherished the education she received and the friendships she formed during those formative years.
As a mother and grandmother, Becky was warm and loving, always being the nurturing force behind her family. She is survived by her loving partner of 25 years, Lucien Bright, whose support enriched her life alongside his children, Missy, Kathy, and Lucien Jr., as well as her cherished bonus grandchildren.
Becky's children, Melissa (John Brizzee) DeMarco and Michael Griffith, carry forward her legacy of love and laughter. Her grandchildren—Kiersten (fiancé Eli Corning), Cameryn, and Anthony DeMarco; Adam, Gannon, Max, Quinn, Tegan, and Scully Griffith—adored her deeply. Each one holds dear the memories of her warm hugs and encouraging words..
Becky was known for her sarcastic and humorous personality, often turning challenging moments into opportunities for laughter. Her ability to make others feel at ease was remarkable, effortlessly welcoming everyone into her embrace. A strong individual, she faced life's challenges head-on, embodying resilience that inspired those around her.
Outside of her professional and family commitments, Rebecca relished spending winters in Florida, enjoying the sun and treasured moments with loved ones.
She is also survived by her sister, Michele (Joseph) DeGrave. Rebecca joins her parents, William and Bertha (Szallar) Burke, in eternal peace, leaving a legacy of love that will forever resonate in the hearts of her family and friends.
Rebecca Lynn Griffith will be remembered not only for her laughter and strength but also for the warmth she brought into the lives of so many. Her spirit will continue to shine through the love she shared and the countless memories created over the years.
A Catholic Blessing Service will take place at 1:45PM on Friday December 5, 2025 at Washington Cemetery Chapel, 498 Park Avenue, Washington PA 15301. PLEASE MEET AT THE FUNERAL HOME AT 1:15pm.
