Robert L. Lemley

Robert L. Lemley, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and brother, passed away peacefully on August 1, 2026, at Southmont Presbyterian Senior Care. He was born on August 21, 1937, in Washington, Pennsylvania, a community that helped shape his steadfast character and unwavering work ethic.

A proud graduate of Trinity High School, Robert carried with him the values of dedication and perseverance throughout his life. Shortly after completing his education, he answered his nation’s call by enlisting in the United States Navy on June 14, 1955. He served honorably until August 20, 1959, as part of Patrol Squadron 44, stationed at NAS Norfolk, Virginia, operating as a seaplane squadron. Following active duty, he continued his service in the Navy Reserves until June 13, 1963. Robert’s time in the military was marked by commitment, discipline, and a genuine sense of duty.

After his military service, Bob embarked on a long career as a machinist. Known for his tireless dedication and willingness to work long hours, he exemplified reliability and skill in his profession.

Beyond his professional achievements, Bob was proudly devoted to his family. He is survived by his loving wife, Lois (Mosier) Lemley who he married on November 23, 1957, and his son, Brian (Lorilee) Lemley. His grandchildren, Ashley Wiseman, Caleb (Hailey) Lemley, and Jeremy Lemley (Bethany Minger), were sources of immense pride and joy. Bob is also survived by his sisters, Janet (Patrick) Rice, Carol Andrews,  brother Charles (Joann) Lemley and his son-in-law, Rick Wiseman.

He was preceded in death by his beloved daughter, Annette Wiseman, as well as his mother, Flora (Phillips) Lemley his father Charles Lemley; brother, Donald Lemley; and sister-in-law, Barb Lemley.

Family was central to Bob’s life, and his proudest accomplishment was undoubtedly his relationships with his loved ones.  Bob loved his many trips to Nashville with Lois and his granddaughter Ashley. Fishing trips with grandsons Caleb and Jeremy created memories that will be treasured forever. He also relished the simple joys—playing dominos with Ashley, traveling, and keeping up with his favorite Pittsburgh sports teams, especially the Pittsburgh Pirates.

Those who knew Bob will remember him for his nature and quiet strength he was a devoted follower of Christ.  He attended The Bible Chapel in McMurray, PA. His faith was the guiding light of his life. Bob led by example through his integrity, work ethic, and profound love for his family. 

Robert L. Lemley’s unwavering commitment to his loved ones and country stands as a testament to a life well-lived and honorably served. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered.
