Ronald R. Westfall

Ronald R. Westfall, born on September 24, 1939, passed away peacefully on July 20, 2026. He leaves behind a remarkable legacy defined by dedication to his family, a strong commitment to his faith, family and career.

Ronald was a proud graduate of Trinity High School, where he laid the foundation for a life marked by hard work and perseverance. Soon after, he served his country with distinction, having joined the United States Army and receiving an honorable discharge as an E-5 Sergeant. 

Professionally, Ronald devoted over 35 years to Peoples Gas Company, where his steadfast work ethic and reliability set an inspiring example for those around him.  He was a member of the Nazarene Church in Washington PA.

Ronald was a 30-year member of the Washington and Green County Antique Tractor Association, he found camaraderie and joy among fellow enthusiasts. Ronald cherished his cherished red tractor—affectionately named “Pap Pap’s Toy”—which became a memorable symbol to friends and family, representing his love of craftsmanship and mechanical ingenuity.

In his personal life, Ronald’s steadfastness and resolve were balanced by a profound commitment to family. Married for 58 years to his beloved late wife Wilma "Jean". Ronald was a devoted husband who built a foundation of love and support. He was described by those closest to him as stubborn and tough, yet always a great provider and a unique individual whose presence was simply irreplaceable.

Ronald is survived by his daughter, Tonya (Frank) Phillips; granddaughters, Stacey (B. Jay) Barnard, Carla (Scott) Alaskey, and Kayla Reed; his sister, Evelyn Beeler; and eight beloved great grandchildren. He will be dearly missed by each of them. He was preceded in death by his wife Wilma Jean Moore his son, Donald "DUCK" Rush; his daughter, Joy Rush; his brother-in-law, William Beeler; his brother, Clyde Westfall; and his sister-in-law, Birdie Westfall.

Friends and family are invited to the William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Ave. Washington PA 15301 on Thursday July 23, 2026 from 4PM to 8PM.  A funeral service will take place at the funeral home on July 24, 2026 at 11AM followed by Military Honors accorded by the Hunt-Kennedy Post 639 at Claysville Cemetery.
