Ruth Ann Jones

Ruth Ann Jones, 73, of Washington, died on December 6, 2022 in her home. She was born on June 12, 1949, in Latrobe, a daughter of Ruth Dunn Bernett and the late George Bernett, Sr. A graduate of Washington High School, she was a member of the Bible Chapel. Ruth most recently worked as a bank teller for PNC Bank, and previously for First National Bank. Mrs. Jones enjoyed cooking, baking, sewing and gardening. She worked hard all her life. When she wasn’t working, she enjoyed spending time with those she loved, her family and friends. On March 4, 1968 she married David Leroy Jones, who died on September 18, 2005. Surviving, in addition to her mother, are a son, David Jones; two brothers, George (Nancy) Bernett and Scott (Kim) Bernett; a sister, Sharon (Ron) Houston; two grandchildren, Taylor (Conner) DeLisle and Hunter Jones; as well as several nieces and nephews. Deceased is a brother, Richard Bernett. Friends and family are welcome on Friday, December 9, 2022, from 2 until 4 p.m. and 6 until 8 p.m., in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Ave., Washington, where service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, December 10, 2022. Burial will follow in St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery.
