Stanley David Waraksa, 70, of Washington, died on Friday, July 20, 2018, in the Washington Hospital. He was born on September 25, 1947, in Shamokin, PA, a son of the late Stanley and Rose Mirack Waraksa. Following high school, he attended Norfolk State University. Mr. Waraksa worked as a commercial driver. He was Roman Catholic by faith. Mr. Waraksa was proud to have served in the United States Army Reserves. Stanley enjoyed hunting, fishing, long walks and sports, especially Penn State. On July 17, 1976, he married Janet Molinko, who survives. Also surviving are a two sons, Christopher Waraksa, of Baltimore and Alan Waraska of Roscoe; three brothers, Kenneth (Bettyanne) Nevil, of East Stroudsburg, PA, Grayden “Skeet” Nevil, of Allegany, NY, and Stephen Waraksa, of San Antonia, TX; and three sisters, Barbara (Matt) Walter, of East Stroudsburg, PA, Pamela Nielsen, of Onancock, VA, and Anna Mae Cook of Michigan. Deceased is a sister, Jean Waraksa. At the request of the deceased, all services were private.
