Stephen Morgan

November 29, 1951 — March 12, 2026

Washington PA

Stephen John Morgan went Home to his Saviour on March 12, 2026 after a 6+ year battle with Cancer. He was born November 29, 1951 in Washington, PA to the late Ellis A. Morgan and Mary Temas of Bentleyville.

He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Lyn Morgan; his son, Brian (Jess) Morgan; & Daughter, Allison (Dave) Hillberry; grandsons, Cody Tyler Hillberry (Amanda); Collin William Hillberry; Colton Brayden Hillberry (Dessa). He also leaves behind great-granddaughter, Keaton Avery Hillberry, daughter of Collin; great-grandson, Rowan Oliver Hillberry, son of Cody; also a brother, Albert (Gail) Morgan; a niece & a nephew.

Steve was preceded in death by infant great-grandson, Silas Hillberry & unborn great granddaughter, Aurora Hillberry (children of Cody & Amanda); stepfather, Gene; and Mother-in-law, Charlotte Allison.

Steve was a former Bentleyville Police Officer; former California University of Pennsylvania Police Officer; worked for Volkswagen Hazmat/Security in the New Stanton Plant, as well as in other Security positions over the years. He was also a volunteer firefighter at the Bentleyville Fire Department in younger years.

He enjoyed retirement, spending time on the porch, birdwatching and doing yard work on his tractor. Steve cherished his son Brian from birth to manhood, the husband he showed himself to be, and the career path he chose, was so proud of his many accomplishments & fun visits in Washington/ celebrations together. Family was everything to him with many Family times spent with daughter, Allison & son, Dave on their farm with all the "crew". He always said how blessed & proud he was to have seen all 3 grandsons grow up to become men. His 2 "granddaughters" held a special place in heart too. And privileged to see his great-granddaughter & great-grandson was life's biggest bonuses. Psalms 68:6

Married in Calvary Baptist Church of Washington, he attended services whenever able. He really liked joining in the church's team that helped homeless people in the city of Washington. The poor had always been heavy on his heart. He carried a strong Faith in God & Jesus, his Saviour, reading devotions every afternoon.
