Tula Lee Hickman

Tula Lee (Davis) Hickman, 77, of Canonsburg, formerly of Washington, passed away Friday, July 11, 2025.

She was born April 6, 1948, in Washington, a devoted daughter of the late William O. Davis and Ruth Nancydel (DeBolt) Davis.

Tula was a 1966 graduate of Trinity High School and went on to work as a secretary for her alma mater. Later in years, she became a bank teller at Washington Area Federal Credit Union, where she was promoted to bank loan officer, serving in that position until she retired in 2020.

On August 17, 1968, she married Robert “Bob” Hickman, who passed away on June 28, 2020.

Tula was a proud member of the Washington Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star and belonged to the Faith United Presbyterian Church. In her free time, she loved to play board games and would go out to dinner with a group of friends on Thursday nights.

Tula is survived by two daughters, Shannon S. Rush of Donora and Amanda (Dave) J. Patterson of Canonsburg; three grandchildren, Ian Stromski of Boardman, Ohio, Caitlyn (Matelita) Stromski of South Park and Avery Patterson of Canonsburg.

In addition to her parents and husband, she is predeceased by her brother, William E. Davis.

We are thankful that she is now at peace and reunited with her husband Bob.

Friends and family will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, July 15, 2025, at William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 16, 2025. Burial will follow in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies.
