Virginia Lee Engle

Virginia Lee (Bell) Engle, 82, of South Strabane, passed away on Friday, June 20, 2025, at her home.

She was born on August 7, 1942, in Washington, a daughter of the late J. Havlan Bell and Kathryn R. O’Donnell.

Virginia was a 1960 graduate of Avella High School.

She worked for a number of years as a Customer Service Representative at Washington Federal Bank and previously 17 ½ years at Mellon Bank.

She loved being a Grandma and enjoyed coin collecting and going to the Casinos.

Virginia LOVED the Steelers and had been a season ticket holder since the 70’s.

She is survived by her daughter Cindy L. (Brian) Shaw; brother William James A. Bell of Napa, California; and granddaughter Samantha Shaw.

In addition to her parents, Virginia is preceded in death by her sister Ruth Ann Carter.

Family and friends will be received from 4 to 7 p.m. on Monday, June 30, 2025, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, 925 Allison Avenue, Washington where services will follow at 7p.m.
