Virginia Iona Shrader

Virginia Iona Deyell Shrader, 87, of Washington, went to be with her Lord and Savior, on Thursday, October 30, 2025.

Virginia was born June 13, 1938 in Wolfdale, a daughter of the late Robert A. and Sarah Patterson Deyell. She was the last survivor of the thirteen children in the Deyell family.

On January 5th, 1957, she married her friend and sweetheart, Frank Eugene Shrader, who after 52 years went to live in Heaven, passing on our Lord’s birthday, December 25th, 2008.

Virginia graduated from Trinity High School on May 29, 1956, at the Trinity Campus. She began a successful career as a Tax Preparer, running her own business for 42 years.

She is survived by her four daughters, Kathy Starr Shrader, Bonnie Renee Shrader with whom she made her home, Tammy Shrader, and Joy Lynn (Bob) Rizor, all of Washington; a precious granddaughter, Erin Marie (Rob) Werner of Clinton; a most precious great-grandson, Austin Fletcher Werner; and many nieces and nephews, all loved in their own right.

Virginia was a member of Covenant Life Fellowship, now called Point View Church, for quite a few years.

Family and friends will be received from 3 to 6 p.m., the hour of service, Tuesday, November 11, 2025, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, with Pastor Craig Bellis officiating. Virginia will be laid to rest beside her dear husband Frank in North Buffalo Cemetery.
