William "Mike" DeWees

William Michael “Mike” DeWees, 72, of Washington, formerly of Aurora, Ohio, passed away Friday, June 13, 2025, in UPMC Passavant, Pittsburgh.

He was born on October 7, 1952, in Kenna, West Virginia, a son of the late William DeWees and Mary Davis DeWees.

Mike was employed by United Parcel Service in the delivery truck maintenance and wash-man department.

He enjoyed fishing, drinking coffee, and smoking a good cigarette. He loved hanging out with his son, Patrick, and sitting outside, and especially loved enjoying the countryside at his son Matt’s house.

Surviving are two sons, Matt (Stephanie) DeWees and Patrick DeWees; his longtime companion, Mona Caldwell; a brother, Mark DeWees; a sister, Debbie (Ken) Kinford; nieces and nephews Dave DeWees, Amber DeWees, Paul Kinford and April Deitch; and sisters-in-law Lois Caldwell and Janet Suthard.

Family and friends will be received from 1 to 4 p.m., the hour of service, Thursday, June 19, 2025, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington.
