Elizabeth “Ellen” Fretz, 80, of Canonsburg, formerly of Washington, died Tuesday, January 18, 2011, in Donnell House.
She was born February 24, 1930, in Washington.
Mrs. Fretz was a homemaker whose favorite holiday was Christmas.
She was a member of the Polish Club and enjoyed country-western music and dancing.
Mrs. Fretz was Protestant.
Surviving are a son, Harley James Lowe of Pittsburgh; four stepdaughters, Jackie Zitkovich and Georgianna Byrnes, both of Washington, Shirley Brown of Fredericktown, and Robin Spalla of Erie; a brother, John E. Thompson of Syracuse, New York; 24 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.
Deceased are her first husband, Harley J. Lowe; her second husband, James Fretz; two sons, John Fleming Lowe and William Cecil Lowe; and a stepdaughter, Linda Kennedy.
Friends will be received Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, January 21st. Burial will follow in Washington Cemetery.
