Marlene Alberta “Little Moe” Anderson, 66, of Claysville, died Thursday, May 26, 2011, in Mercy Hospital, following a lengthy illness. She was born August 15, 1944, in Washington, a daughter of Alva and Frances Blacka Keener. Mrs. Anderson was employed in guest services at Days Inn and Econo Lodge for 19 years. She enjoyed playing bingo, dancing, traveling and family activities. Mrs. Anderson was Protestant. On June 22, 1962, she married Roger D. “Butch” Anderson, who survives. Also surviving are a son, Melvin Anderson of Washington; a daughter, Pamela D. Cowdery of Auburndale, Florida; a sister, Anna Belle Price of Washington; eight grandchildren, Michael, Jacob, Maleia, Melony, Joelene, and Haley Anderson, Jessica Cribbs and Matthew Nethaway; eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews, whom she loved very much. Deceased are a son, Michael Douglas Anderson Sr.; 10 brothers and one sister; and Jamie Smith, whom she raised. Friends will be received Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Monday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 31st. Burial will follow in Washington Cemetery.
