John Joseph “Tubby” Dunn, Sr., 82, of Washington, died on Friday, July 13, 2012, in his home, after a brief illness.
He was born on November 7, 1929, in Brookline, a son of the late James P. and Helen Burkele Dunn.
Mr. Dunn had worked as an ironworker with Local Union #3.
He enjoyed farming and going to flea markets.
On May 1, 1954, he married Patricia Ann Libenschek, who died on February 11, 1999.
Surviving are 4 sons, Stephen (Beatrice) Dunn, of Jacksonville, FL; and John Dunn, Jr., William Dunn, and Brian Dunn, all of Washington; 2 daughters, Debra Klein and Connie Dunn, both of Washington; a sister, Nancy Beck, of Dorseyville; 4 grandchildren, Brittany and Taylor Klein and Cole and Chelsea Dunn, and 1 great grandchild, Arianna Davis.
Deceased, in addition to his wife, is a brother, James Dunn.
Friends will be received on Monday, from 4 to 8 p.m., in the William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Ave., Washington.
Burial in Mt. Prospect Cemetery, will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
