William Kenneth “Pappy” McMasters, 67, of Washington, died Monday, January 28, 2013, in the Washington Hospital.
He was born December 4, 1945, in Washington, a son of the late Robert F. McMasters, Sr., and Lucretia V. Bird McMasters.
Mr. McMasters owned Bill’s TV Repair at one time, and also Bill’s Auto Repair for 12 years.
An avid car enthusiast, he especially enjoyed drag racing. He also enjoyed spending holidays with family and friends, watching Steeler games and traveling, having visited almost every state.
On October 8, 1966, he married Laverne Olsen, who survives.
Also surviving are three sons, Kenneth P. McMasters of Washington, Keith F. McMasters of Morgantown, West Virginia, and John P. McMasters (Bobbie Jo) of Washington; two daughters, Sherry L. Morris of Claysville and Billie Jo Amon of Washington; five brothers, James F. Skidmore of Cleveland, Ohio, Charles K. McMasters, Donald E. McMasters, (Delores), Ronald R. McMasters (Laura) and Michael A. McMasters, all of Washington; three sisters, Ella J. Wright of Washington, Sandra L. Ramey and Pauline M. Huffman (Christopher), both of Carmichaels; 13 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Deceased are a son-in-law, Keith Morris; two brothers, Robert F. McMasters, Jr., and David W. McMasters; and a sister, Bonnie S. Thomas.
Friends will be received Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m., in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 1 p.m., Friday, February 1st, with Pastor James Sevon, Jr., officiating. Burial will follow in Washington Cemetery.
