Isabelle Lee ( Parker ) Mrock

Isabelle Lee (Parker) Mrock of North Strabane Twp., Canonsburg, passed away Saturday, September 25, 2010 unexpectedly at Kindred Hospital Pittsburgh, in Oakdale, PA, where she was recuperating following complications of surgery in June, at Washington Hospital. She was born in Washington, PA on September 26th, 1933 the oldest daughter of Authur and Jean Wilson Parker, she was the last of her immediate family. She was a graduate of Washington High School class of 1951 where she was active in chorus, district chorus and gleeclub. On October 20, 1953 she married her highschool sweetheart, Tod M. Mrock who survives. She was a homemaker. Isabelle was employed by Jessop Steel of Washington for 5 years after highschool. She was a former member of the 3rd U.P. Church of Washington where she was an organist and choir member and also a former member of Sweet Adelines, South Hills Chapter. Isabelle was an accomplished pipe organist and pianist. She enjoyed music, especially hymns, loved songs, and barbershop. She was an avid reader, enjoyed oil painting and crafts. When she was well, she loved to bake and enjoyed watching The Food Network and Christian television. She was a faithful fan of the Pittsburgh Pirates & Steelers. Isabelle was the loving mother of Lorraine (Robert) Elias of Washington; Sandra Mrock of Washington; Gary (Melissa) Mrock of Apollo, PA; Maureen Mrock of North Strabane; and Daniel Mrock of North Strabane. She was the cherished grandmother of Alycia Spencer (Ronald) Ringer of Washington; Holly Elias of Washington; Bradley Mrock of Verona; Eric Mrock of Pittsburgh. She was a great-grandmother to Haven and Jacob Ringer of Washington. Also surviving are a brother-in-law, Lloyd (Violet) Mrock of Washington; former brother-in-law, Rudolph (Judy) Keron of Washington; several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Deceased including her parents are two sisters, Rena Jean Parker, who died in childhood, and Flora Parker (Keron), who passed in 2005; and a sister-in-law, Mary Lahosky Mrock. Friends of Isabelle Lee (Parker) Mrock of North Strabane Twp., Canonsburg, who died Saturday, September 25, 2010, will be received on Tuesday, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM and Wednesday from 1 to 3 PM, in the William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, where services will be held on Wednesday, September 29, 2010, at 3:00 PM, Rev. Richard (Rick) Wilson, cousin to Isabelle, will be officiating. Burial will follow in Washington Cemetery.
