Our History

William G. Neal founded William G. Neal Funeral Home in 1961 in the Tylerdale section of Washington, Pennsylvania, guided by two principles: honesty and fairness. Operating out of what was once a private residence, the funeral home quickly gained the trust of local families through straightforward guidance and compassionate care.

William’s son, Michael Neal, grew up alongside the business and later became a licensed funeral director. In 2014, Michael purchased the funeral home from his father, continuing the family tradition while expanding services to meet the changing needs of the community.

Under Michael’s leadership, the funeral home has grown to become one of the leading funeral service providers in Washington County, serving hundreds of families each year. Despite that growth, the firm has remained steadfast in its commitment to fair pricing, clear communication, and personal service.

Today, William G. Neal Funeral Home remains guided by the same values that defined it more than 60 years ago.
